The Flow-Ice® (binary ice) system produces pumpable slurry ice. This is a suspension of very small jelly-like ice crystals in a liquid (sea water). The product has a fine soft texture and therefore does not bruise as the case of conventional ice cooling methods

Flow-Ice® cooling effect is up to 5 times greater than flake ice and other conventional cooling methods. Flow-ice® can be pumped and transported in pipes and hoses which makes for easier storage and handling.

PAM Refrigeration has been manufacturing Flow-Ice® systems (Thermal Energy Storage) for approximately 8 years and the key staff members and Directors have been involved with the development of 'Slurry Ice' systems since 1996.

Ice and Oven Technologies as the sole Australian and New Zealand distributor, supply a complete range of industrial Flow-Ice® systems with unit capacities available in the range of 1.5kW to 400kW. Larger capacity plants can be achieved by using multiple units.

Each system is designed and build as a complete 'plug in' package however, separate 'low side' systems for installation with existing refrigeration plants can also be supplied.
