Flow-Ice In Direct Contact With Food

Direct cooling by slurry ice is done with direct contact of the pumpable slurry ice onto the product. The chilling time is very fast and is, on average, 4 to 5 times faster than when flaked ice or chilled water are applied to the product.

Fishing

The fishing industry uses slurry ice for a wide range of fish species and in many different applications. Slurry ice has been proven to improve the quality of the product, and thus provide better returns with higher prices per kg product sold.




Food Processing

Cooling of pre-cooked foods, which are vacuum packed or in plastic sleeves, requires very fast cooling from, normally, very high temperatures. Direct contact slurry ice provides the fastest cooling times.




Slurry Ice / RSW Combination - Pressurised Tanks On Fishing Vessels

Slurry ice can be used in combination with RSW (refrigerated sea water systems) and will benefit the overall operation on board large and small pelagic vessels. PAM developed a unique system, combining slurry ice and RSW, thereby utilizing the benefits that both types of systems can offer.
